2017 Label Industry Global Awards to encourage innovation and sustainable development

On the evening of September 25th, 2017, Labelexpo Europe 2017, on the first day of the Label Industry Global Awards Dinner, Mr. Tan Junyi, Founder and Honorary Chairman of the Printing and Equipment Equipment Industry Association of China Labeling Branch, collected it. The R. Stanley Ally Lifetime Achievement Award, representing the industry's highest individual award.

In addition, the "Labor Industry Global Awards" also awarded awards to three companies and associations representing innovation and sustainable development, Herma, AIM, and ebeam Technologies.

    The Innovation Award sponsored by the Flint Group's Narrow Rotation Division (300+ employees) was awarded to Herma's superTack (63Vst), a self-adhesive labeling system. With the introduction of this system, Herma created the world's first resin-free glue for labels. The product is designed for wet, oily, highly polluting and dusty surface products, and its use can be extended to a wider area than food labels. Through resin distribution, Herma's developed glue can be directly contacted with dry, moist and greased foods and achieve zero migration of the ink.

     The awards will enter the final list of enterprises also include: Aurika UAB, Esko, Kl ӧ ckner Pentaplast, Lintec Group and colorful company.

    It was the Automatic Identification Association (AIM) that won the Innovation Award sponsored by the Flint Group's Narrow Rotation Division (under 300 people). Over the past half century, AIM has provided clear and unbiased information, countless educational resources and industry standards to suppliers and users in the field of automatic identification for their reference. AIM's award-winning product is a process-inspired Ultracode that can automatically capture dates via any digital camera or smartphone. The process uses the first global standard 2D color bar code, Ultracode, which supports RGB and CMYK color printing, as well as any inkjet or toner technology printing technology. Using the same modular dimensions, two-dimensional codes, advanced data compression schemes, and URL-encoded data are all concentrated in the QR code, and occupy only half of the space.

The companies entering the final list of the awards also include: Bobst, Constanta Flexible Packaging, GEW and PowerForward.

    It was ebeam Technology's compact curing unit that won the award for sustainability supported by our magazine, Label & Label Magazine. Ebeam Technologies is a company that specializes in designing, manufacturing and integrating Electron Beam (EB) solutions. The award recognizes its efforts in the development of a compact electron beam curing system for narrow web presses. The unit is low energy, no photoinitiator, and is suitable for the curing of labels and packaging products. It uses only 1⁄2 to 1/10 of the thermal, steam, chemical and microwave energy or UV processes. It is compact, vacuum-sealed, zero-maintenance, and has an exceptional service life.

Companies entering the final list of the Sustainable Development Awards also include: Avery Dennison and Source labels.

The 14th "Labor Industry Global Awards" was led by Mr. Mike Fairley. The organizing committee includes Thomas Hagmaier, former Chairman of the European Stickers Association (FINAT), and Craig Moreland, Chairman of the American Hangtag and Trademark Manufacturers Association (TLMI).
