Three product characteristics analysis of flexo-printed photosensitive resin sleeve

There are currently three types of digital photographic plate sleeves available for flexo printing manufacturers - seamless plate sleeves, plate sleeves and thin sleeves. In the face of these three kinds of sleeves, what choice should the printing company make?

1. Seamless seam plate sleeve

(1) There is a pad type: No adhesive plate material is required. According to the different density, there are many liners, according to different printing plates and substrate materials to choose. This type of sleeve is suitable for mesh reorganization with a screen number of 100 lines/inch or more. The thickness range is 0.185-4.0 inches; the minimum repeat length is 10 inches and the maximum repeat length is 48 inches; the minimum width is 12 inches and the maximum width is 69 inches.

(2) Non-liner type: No adhesive plate material is also required. Suitable for mesh reorganization, field drafts and line drafts with screens less than 100 lines per inch. Most background colors are suitable for such sleeves. The thickness range is 0.085-4.0 inches; the minimum repeat length is 10 inches and the maximum repeat length is 48 inches; the minimum width is 12 inches and the maximum width is 69 inches.

2. Sticker sleeve

Many paper processors use such sleeves. It requires a base sleeve (with or without a liner), and a digital sheet-fed plate is pasted with adhesive tape, exposed and developed. Because it is imaged on the roller, it can guarantee a higher registration accuracy. It can be used in conjunction with a seamless plate sleeve to optimize equipment performance.

The most common form of application for a sticker sleeve is a 0.04 inch thick sleeve, a 0.02 inch thick paste material, and a 0.067 inch thick digital plate. The disadvantage is that there are still problems in the loading section.

3. Thin sleeve technology

This is the latest technology in the flexo sleeve market. Its production process and features are the same as those of a seamless printing plate sleeve. Thin sleeves come in two thicknesses: 0.085 inches and 0.125 inches. Thin sleeves are relatively inexpensive and can be thrown away when they are used up or damaged, greatly reducing the inventory of sleeves. Thin sleeves are a good choice for users with limited repeat lengths.
