Water-based paints for food containers

The present invention relates to an aqueous coating composition comprising: A) at least one polyisocyanate having an average of at least 2 NCO groups per molecule, and wherein at least 85% of the NCO groups are selected from the group consisting of: Capping of ε-caprolactam, capping agent of p-hydroxycarboxylic acid, and B) at least one hydrophilic polyester polyol having an average of at least two active hydroxyl groups per molecule, or hydrophilic and non-parent A mixture of aqueous polyester polyols, wherein the acid value of component B) is ≥15 mg KOH/g, the hydroxyl value is 20 mg KOH/g to 300 mg KOH/g, and the weight average molecular weight Mw>1500 g/mol, wherein The equivalent ratio between the blocked isocyanate groups of component A) and the isocyanate-reactive groups of component B) is from 0.5:1 to 5:1.
