The incineration of plastics into heat energy is an economically desirable method for developed countries with high labor costs, but the incinerator investment is relatively large, and it is suitable for large and medium-sized cities where the proportion of plastics in waste is relatively large. After plastic incineration, it can reduce the volume by 90% and the weight by 80%. The calorific value is generally 83kJ/kg, close to the fuel oil.
