Talking about: textile additives

Textile additives are necessary chemicals in the production and processing of textiles. It plays an indispensable role in improving the product quality and added value of textiles. It not only can give a variety of special functions and styles of textiles, such as softness, wrinkle-free, shrink-proof, waterproof, antibacterial, antistatic, flame-retardant, etc. Dyeing and finishing processes can be improved, which can save energy and reduce processing costs. Textile auxiliaries are crucial to improving the overall level of the industry and its role in the textile industry chain.

About 80% of the product is based on surfactants and about 20% is functional. After more than half a century of development, the world's surfactant industry has matured. In recent years, due to well-known reasons, the textile industry production center has gradually shifted from Asia to the United States, resulting in a rapid increase in demand in the Asian region.

At present, there are nearly 100 categories in the world, producing nearly 16,000 varieties. The annual output is about 4.1 million tons. Among them, there are 48 categories of European and American varieties and more than 8,000 varieties; there are 5,500 varieties in Japan. According to reports, sales in the world market have reached 17 billion U.S. dollars in 2004, far exceeding sales in the dye market.

There are nearly 2,000 species that can be produced in China, and more than 800 species are frequently produced. There are about 200 major species. In 2006, China's output exceeded 1.5 million tons, and its industrial output value reached 40 billion yuan, which also surpassed the output value of China's dye industry.

There are about 2,000 Chinese manufacturers, mostly private enterprises (8-10% of joint ventures and sole proprietorships), mainly in Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shanghai, and Shandong provinces. China's production can meet the domestic textile market demand of 75-80%, domestic production of 40% exported to foreign countries. However, there is still a big gap between China's domestic production in terms of variety and quality, as well as in the synthesis and application of technology, compared with the international advanced level. Special and high-grade products still have to rely on imports.

The world average level of fiber production is 7100, 15100 for industrial countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan, and 4100 for China. According to reports, the world’s environmental protection accounted for about one-half of the world’s environmental protection.

At present, the textile industry, especially the dyeing and finishing industry, has been identified as a heavily polluting industry by the national competent authority. The impact on the environment and ecology and the pollution caused during the manufacturing and application process cannot be ignored and needs to be solved urgently. On the other hand, vigorously developing environmental protection in line with ecological development is extremely important for improving the overall competitiveness of the industry and improving the quality of products and technology. It is the key to the sustainable development of the industry. Products not only meet the market demand of the domestic dyeing and finishing industry, but also meet the export quality standards.
