First, the captain's organizational skills and cultivation of the current printing plant, generally an offset press is a two or three people operation, for high-speed multi-color sheetfed offset press or web offset press, most of the operation by more than 4 people, so Said that the offset printing process is the collective process. He can reasonably assign tasks and make assistants responsible. In addition, the captain should guide the technical progress of assistants and help them improve their skills in a very short period of time. The captain who must be married is not an excellent captain, because in the collective work, it is difficult to do a good job by relying solely on the strength of the individual.
The relationship between the captain and the assistant is both a superior and inferior relationship and a comradeship. To handle this relationship well, as the captain must strengthen his own cultivation, the so-called personal cultivation includes many, and here, I only emphasize four points. The first is to be open-minded and guard against arrogance. The ancients "Three lines, there must be my teacher." In general, domestically produced offset presses have a high probability of mechanical failure, but it does not mean that imported high-grade offset presses will not cause mechanical failure. Some people now think of imported high-end offset presses as “fool machines.” They believe that with only a few presses, they can operate offset presses. This misunderstanding can only lead them to stagnate in technology. In the adjustment of the offset press, the captain of a sheetfed offset press should focus on the handling of the rollers, the transfer of the dents, the front gauges, and the regulation of the side gauges, as well as the adjustment of the components themselves, with particular emphasis on three. Large pressure (roll pressure, plate pressure, printing pressure) adjustment; the master of web offset press in addition to the drum, roller pressure, printing pressure adjustment, the focus must be on the tension control, folding mechanism adjustment up and down effort.
Second, we must thoroughly understand the printed materials and master the printing process. We know that paper, ink, wetting fluid, printing plates, blankets and water, ink roller, these printing materials are called the original material of the offset printing process, as the captain, must understand the basic composition of these printing materials, performance and these materials Changes in the printing process. In the printing process, it is necessary to grasp the variables in the offset printing, namely the ambient temperature and humidity, the thickness of the ink layer, the amount of the wetting liquid, the accumulation of paper and ink residue on the blanket, and the like. The theory of ink-ink balance and rational lining has always been practiced in the practice of modern offset printing. Grasping the balance between ink and ink, rationally lining the theory and putting it into practice are the criteria for measuring the captain's level and are the key elements for improving the quality of printed products. Most of the failures in the printing process are reflected in the use of printed materials and process operations.

They do not follow the procedures but do whatever they want. As a result, they do not cause personal accidents due to mechanical failure. A captain like this should make heavy penalties. Every year, the national printers are shocked by the accidents caused by improper operation of the offset press. I often say that for inanimate machines, it is not difficult to change parts, but for those who have life, how painful it is to hurt their arms and hands. I hope the captains think deeply.
Third, the training of the captain's ability The offset printing process is a complex process. There are various problems in this process. How to deal with these problems is the manifestation of the captain's capabilities. What are these capabilities and how are they cultivated? I think that should be considered from the following aspects.
1. Questioning power is the essential quality of almost all outstanding captains. Some people think that only those great and outstanding people have such qualities. It does not matter if we do not have such quality in the personnel who perform offset press operations. This is a very wrong idea. Questioning is a kind of extremely valuable thinking quality, skeptical vision, and exploration spirit. It has always been an important driving force for the development of human understanding. Innovation generally begins with questions. It is impossible for a good captain to have no strong doubt. I will give an example here. When we printed the first batch of prints, everything was normal. However, when we printed another batch of prints, the result was either a technical problem or a mechanical failure. At this time, we need to ask a few more questions. This is the performance of the captain's skepticism. Some captains have the courage to explore, trace their roots, make bold assumptions, and carefully verify and try to troubleshoot problems. Some captains have encountered such problems and said, "You can't do it." Obviously, the latter will not be a good captain. The British philosopher Bacon had a philosophical remark: "If a person starts with certainty, he must end up with questions; if he is prepared to start with doubts, he will receive positive results."
2. Observing power The so-called observing power is the ability to comprehensively, accurately, and in-depthly understand the characteristics of things. During the printing process, the captains witnessed and witnessed the need to inspect the operation of the machine, and constantly observe the changes in the water content of the printing plate and the ink level of the ink roller. 3. Judgment observation can inspire thinking, and judgment is the determination of thinking objects. It is not an affirmation of it, it is a negative form of thinking of it. In the actual printing process, failures of one kind or another of the processes and machines often occur. At this point, judgment is very important. First of all, judgments must be true. Only on a real basis, judgments make sense; second, judgments must be accurate. This is a concrete expression of acute judgment. Of course, accurate judgments must be based on observational power and related knowledge and operational experience. In addition, judging the timeliness and timely and accurate judgment can reduce unnecessary auxiliary time and further improve the yield and quality of the prints.
4. The correct thinking of thinking is the most important condition for solving the problem. When there is a failure in the process or machinery during the printing operation, correct thinking methods must be used. It is not possible to apply rigidly and believe in dogma, but to believe in facts and use scanning. The method widens the direction of the search, rather than eagerly exploring in a certain direction. When something enters the line of sight, try to look at it in a different way, rather than hurrying to shift your gaze to something else. A good captain should not only be good at thinking, but also pay special attention to the cultivation of thinking methods.
5. Resilience Modern printing technology has developed rapidly in prepress, with each passing day, but the basic principles of offset presses have not changed. So good captains must adapt to operate different types of offset presses in different environments. Some captains confined themselves to a certain type of aircraft. As long as they changed the model, they would not know what to do. Some captains would only work under favorable environmental conditions, and the environment would be a little worse, so they would not be able to print a good job. . Therefore, the captain must improve himself in practice. At the same time, it is hoped that the captains will master the relevant knowledge of computers as soon as possible in order to grasp the operating methods of modern high-grade offset presses and adapt to the needs of the era of knowledge economy.

2. Cultivate Yourself If you have all aspects of working in offset printing and you have a great deal of interest, you should strive to cultivate your organizational skills, strengthen your cultivation, and build better relationships. In terms of technical operations, it is necessary to make every effort to do a good job. One is not afraid of suffering, and the other is not afraid of fatigue. It is necessary to practice the basic skills repeatedly, practice regularly, and get to the point where everything is in perfect condition. Generally, we can see the level of its level from the captain's operation methods. Take a simple example, such as “pulling a plate,” some captains may print on a piece of a print that differs a little bit from the top and bottom of the rule, and only pull the plate once, but some captains have to pull several times. In the past, I have seen many similar cases. People often say: "1 minute on stage, 10 years of meritorious deeds". From this point of view, it is not feasible to strengthen basic skills training.
3. Everyone who invests in himself must know how to invest in himself. That is to say, he puts part of his income on information gathering or capacity development. Some captains of many printing companies only know to work hard and do not want to spend time reading some printing. Technical books or magazines are very bad phenomena. Here I say one more thing.
