In order to promote the improvement of the quality of wood furniture finishing throughout the country and to harmonize the quality standards of Xu Pei, the national wood furniture, the Ministry of Light Industry developed the standard for the finishing of wood furniture (SG279-83).

The basic content is now described as follows:

(1) Finishing grade

According to the different materials and processing technology of the product, the coating can be divided into three grades: general, medium, and high.

I The surface of the primary coating film is primary light (i.e., no sand, no polishing).

2. The surface of the intermediate front-view coating must be sanded, polished, or matte, and the side coating of the product is the original light.

3. The high-quality coating surface is fully polished or filled with matt finish.

(b) Finishing materials

1. General grade: The paints used in general grade products are phenolic, infusible, and ester glues with poor texture.

2. Intermediate: Middle-level products use the same high-end paint as the front-end product, and the side-view products are of the same general class.

3. Advanced: Advanced products use paints with polyurethane, polyester, acrylic, nitro, photosensitive, natural paints and other coatings with good properties.

(III) Technical Requirements

1. Surface treatment steps before coating

The finish of the first product should be cleaned of grease (pine oil, mineral oil), wax, salt, alkali, and other contaminants.

The surface of the product before the second coating should be smooth, smooth, free of planing, sand marks, lines, edges and corners and other parts should be intact.

The third advanced product should be covered with fur before painting.

2. Coating appearance requirements

Unpainted parts allow paints and stains that do not affect the appearance.

Project technical requirements

The color coating is brighter in color, similar to the sample plate, with clear wood grain; the color of the whole product or accessory product is similar; the color line at the color separation is neat; where there are no coloring sites, there should be no sagging, colored flower, overcast, white and white. Point, powder, miscellaneous slag and other defects; the color of the inner surface is close to the color of the outer surface, or may be determined according to the user's requirements.

The clear coating must be finished with a polished surface. The surface should be smooth and smooth. After the film is dried, there is no obvious wooden hole sinking. Third, coating physical and chemical properties testing

The physical and chemical properties of the coating mainly depend on the properties of the coating, and it also has a certain relationship with the coating process.

For coatings of the same quality with the same quality, if the coating process (that is, coating quality) is different, the physical and chemical properties (such as adhesion, gloss, and liquid resistance) of the coating film will be different. Different kinds and quality of coatings, even if the same coating process, the physical and chemical properties of the coating will be a big difference. For example, the gloss of the unsaturated polyester coating film is better than that of the polyurethane coating, but the elasticity of the coating film is lower than that of the polyurethane coating. Therefore, the physical and chemical properties of the coating film are the comprehensive reaction between the coating performance and the coating process. . The physical and chemical properties of the coating should be reasonably determined according to the grade and purpose of the product to ensure scientific use of the product's functional requirements.

There are various physical and chemical properties of the coating. The current national standard GB4893.1 4893.885 “Measurement of paint film on the surface of furniture” stipulates that the coating film is resistant to liquid, hot and humid, resistant to dry heat, temperature difference, adhesion, thickness and luster. 3. Test method Use a soft cloth or yarn to clean the surface of the sample (pieces). Take three test sites and one comparison site on the sample.
