Introduction of technical knowledge of high and low temperature test chamber refrigeration system

The high and low temperature test chamber cascade refrigeration system usually consists of two parts (also can be three parts), which are called high temperature part and low temperature part respectively. The high temperature part uses medium temperature refrigerant, the low temperature part uses low temperature refrigerant, and each part is a complete single stage or two stage compression refrigeration system. The evaporation of the refrigerant in the high temperature part of the system is used to condense the refrigerant in the low temperature part of the system, and only the refrigerant in the low temperature part of the system is cooled when it is evaporated. The high temperature portion and the low temperature portion are connected by a condensing evaporator which is both an evaporator at a high temperature portion and a condenser at a low temperature portion. Most of the high and low temperature test chamber cascade refrigeration units use R22/R404 as the refrigerant.

There are two important points of knowledge in the high and low temperature test chamber cascade refrigeration system:

First, the determination of the intermediate temperature

The intermediate temperature in the cascade refrigeration cycle should be determined based on the principle that the refrigeration coefficient is maximum or the compressor pressure ratios are approximately equal. The former is the most economical for energy utilization, and the latter has a higher utilization rate of the compressor cylinder working volume (ie, the gas transmission coefficient is larger). Since the intermediate temperature does not have a large influence on the enthalpy coefficient when it varies within a certain range, it seems more reasonable to determine the intermediate temperature according to the principle that the pressure ratios of the stages are substantially equal.
