Printing Slotter Operation Procedures

At present, there are many kinds of printing slot machines, and the operations vary from machine to machine, but the basic principles are the same. Now, the operation rules are briefly introduced:

1. Check the lubrication system and compressed air system before starting the machine, inject enough oil, drain the condensate from the air compressor, and close the air release valve.

2. Set the main engine variable speed switch to the “OFF” position and turn the speed control knob to the lowest speed position before turning on the power.

3. After the power supply is connected, the gear motor is started, and the feed printing section, the second printing section and the slit groove section are separated to adjust the size and installation of each section.

4. According to the production notice required to install the printing plate, set the cutting knife, slotting angle cutter, pressure line wheel.

5. The front, left, and right limit stops are set by the thickness and length of the board.

6. The separate parts of the body are reset and locked.

7. Start the suction fan and ink pump and remove all tools and debris from the machine.

8. Test printing. Check the printing plate, printing ink, color, slot cut quality, the size of each part of the specification, color accuracy, etc., until confirmed.

9. Start up and accelerate continuous production.

10. During the operation of the machine, the operator should pay attention to observation and inspection, find problems as soon as possible, and make adjustments at any time.

11. After the work is completed or before work, the ink roller must be cleaned. The replaced plate should be washed, hung and stored, and the routine maintenance work should be performed to cut off the power supply.

The problems of printing slotting in the course of use and the treatment methods

1. There are two sheets for feeding, for two reasons:

a. The front paperboard gap is too high;

b. The original feeder size is incorrect.

Solution:

a, Adjust the front baffle gap to 1.5 times the thickness of the paperboard;

b. Replace the paper feeder plate (usually 2.5mm paper feeder board for cardboard, 1.5mm paper feeder board for paperboard).

2. The paper feed surface is scratched because the front paperboard is too low and the suction air volume is small.

Solution:

Adjust the gap of the front baffle and adjust the air intake.

3. Paper feed skew occurs.

the reason:

a. Before the paper feed shaft is not parallel;

b: The rear pusher is not parallel.

Solution:

Check and adjust the parallelism of the paper feeder and the parallelism of the feed shaft (using the method of adjusting the eccentricity).

4. Printing registration is not accurate.

1) There is an error in the feeding size of each printing group, and the machining accuracy of the machine is poor.

2) The printing plate is not tightly adhered.

3) Looseness of differential gear is loose. This is the main reason. It should be adjusted (speak gear differential structure).

5. The relationship between printing speed and printing color.

It has been proved through practice that the printing speed is high, the printing color is heavy, and the effect is good; the printing speed is slow, the color is light, and the effect is slightly poor.

6. The relationship between printing speed and ink viscosity.

The printing speed is fast, the ink viscosity is low, the printing speed is slow, and the ink viscosity is high. The lower the viscosity, the more ink is used for printing; the higher the viscosity, the more ink is used for printing (lower viscosity can be added with water).

The printing slot machine is the most important and the most critical equipment for carton production. Therefore, it is imperative to strictly abide by the operating procedures, master the rules of the equipment, find problems and solve them in time, truly use, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot.
