Hard plastic bottles release bisphenol A harmful to health

Hard plastic water bottles will release bisphenol A, a hormone that interferes with hormones, and this issue is becoming more and more of concern to consumers. Many companies have begun to take back related products in recent years.

The food container contains a very small amount of bisphenol A (bisphenol A), which poses a great deal of damage to the human body. The scientist’s opinion is unresolved; but a team of 38 scholars and researchers from the United States presented a report in an official meeting in August, warning the United States. The content of bisphenol A in the human body exceeds the level sufficient to endanger laboratory animals. They suggest that the government conduct further studies.

Patagonia, an outdoor product company based in Ventura, Calif., has been recovering polycarbonate-made water bottles from 40 stores nationwide since December 2005. In January of last year, organic food chain Whole Foods Markets suspended the use of polycarbonate bottles and children's drinking cups.

After receiving complaints from the Mountain Equipment Co-op in Vancouver for three consecutive years, it began to take back Nalgene hard plastic water bottles and other containers made of polycarbonate in early December 2007, while waiting for the Canadian government to publish in May this year. Preliminary review report.

Some environmental protection organizations in the United States and Canada expect that other companies will soon withdraw their products.

Smith, executive director of Protecting the Environment in Canada, believes that consumer goods made of polycarbonate will disappear within two to three years.

The controversy has made the United States NalgeNunc International Corporation the focus of media attention. Its Nalgene brand new series of water bottles, launched in 2000, immediately became a popular item for high school and college students.

These series of water bottles are lightweight, durable, and have no odor. They are both heat-resistant and cold-resistant, and are therefore considered as environmentally friendly alternatives to ordinary water bottles.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration believes that an extremely small amount of bisphenol A will not endanger health. The Bureau reiterated that "Bisphenol A has been used to manufacture consumer products for more than 50 years. During this period, no evidence of harm to humans was found, either in terms of dietary intake or workers exposed to bisphenol A."

The United States produces 2.72 million kilograms of bisphenol A each year for use in tooth sealers, food can linings, compact discs, movie CDs, eyewear, and hundreds of household items. The chemical industry cites a number of studies in the United States, Europe, and Japan that insist that polycarbonate water bottles contain trace amounts of bisphenol A, and that the release of a very small amount of bisphenol A is not enough to harm the human body.

However, critics pointed out that a large number of reports on animal studies have shown that trace bisphenol A causes breast cancer, prostate cancer, obesity, hyperactivity disorder, miscarriage, and multiple infertility diseases.
